WEBSITE COORDINATOR

Portage County Can is looking for a student to be our new Student Website Coordinator. This position would be in charge of updating a WordPress website and managing content. PC CAN developed a new website over the past year, and there is a continual need for content development and website optimization.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work closely with PC CAN marketing team and web development team
  • Manage calendar of events
  • Participate in coalition partners' community events and programs, including Farmers' Market promotions, Turkey Trot and Breastfeeding Coalition events
  • Track website analytics and share at committee meetings
  • Attend all PC CAN steering committee meeting and working group meetings as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with health information, community events and current programs

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • This opportunity would be a 5-10 hour/week position that could be used as independent study credits, internship or community practicum.
  • The position is 1-semester long, with the option of continuing for an additional semester

 

ACTIVITY PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR

Portage County Can is looking for a student to be our new Activities Promotion Coordinator.

This new position would support PC CAN events that relate to physical activity, including the Turkey Trot and Walking Maps. The Stevens Point Community Turkey Trot is PC CAN’s largest event, bringing in hundreds of community members and hundreds of pounds of food donations. There is limited participation from students, and awareness in the community. This position would help to promote this event. In addition, the Activities Promotion Coordinator would be part of the Activity Workgroup which seeks to promote active living in our community.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work closely with PC CAN marketing team and Activity Workgroup
  • Develop promotions for the Turkey Trot
  • Participate in coalition partners' community events and programs
  • Engage students and community members in active living
  • May include some social media monitoring and posting

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • This opportunity would be a 5-10 hour/week position that could be used as independent study credits, internship or community practicum.
  • The position is 1-semester long, with the option of continuing for an additional semester
